SCHOOL OF FASHION DESIGN
ISD’s curriculum for Fashion Design teaches students how to apply Indian aesthetics to contemporary fashion. It cultivates in students, a deep understanding of the rich heritage of Indian textiles, weaves, natural dyes, craftsmanship, colours, patterns, and silhouettes. Students will explore traditional Indian garments, regional styles, and historical influences that have shaped Indian fashion, and influenced global fashion over the centuries.
Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical application, students will learn to infuse Indian aesthetics into avant garde fashion such that it resonates seamlessly with a global audience. Our graduates will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to the fashion industry, blending creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling to produce aesthetically appealing but sustainable products.
